RSO

RSO, AKA Rick Simpson Oil, or Phoenix Tears, is an extremely potent Cannabis Concentrate that uses food-grade ethanol in its extraction process. The end product is thick, with a molasses-like consistency. This concentrate keeps much of the natural terpene profiles of the Cannabis buds and is very effective at providing heavy-duty relief. RSO is often used for pain relief, increasing appetite, encouraging sleep, and fighting cancer.

RSO can be used as an edible, in a suppository or as a topical. When consumed as an edible it’s best to mix with some sort of fat to maximize absorption. When used as a suppository it is often mixed with a solid type of fat, often Cacao Butter or Coconut oil. When used as a topical be careful not to apply to large sensitive areas or broken skin. It can be very effective applied directly to skin cancer and kept covered up.

We at SacredMeds have witnessed many people use these products to beat late-stage terminal cancer, often after the Medical Doctor’s have given up hope. In that regard, we now offer 20% off MSRP pricing on RSO Oil and Suppositories every day of the year!

What is RSO

RSO, or Rick Simpson Oil, is a Cannabis concentrate made using ethanol as the solvent during the extraction process. It is named for its inventor, Canadian Rick Simpson, who originally called it Phoenix Tears. RSO has quite a high potency, with THC levels around 55-60%, making it a strong pain reliever. Additionally, RSO can be used topically to treat a variety of skin conditions including lesions and even some forms of skin cancer.

Who is Rick Simpson?

Before Phoenix Tears were even an idea, Rick Simpson was an Engineer working in a Canadian hospital in the late 90’s. He and his colleagues were responsible for sealing asbestos on pipes with a potent aerosol glue.

While working in a small, poorly ventilated room, Rick suffered a blackout from the glue’s toxic fumes. He fell from a ladder to the ground, hitting his head, and knocking himself unconscious. When his colleagues found him they immediately took him to the Emergency Room.

After the accident, Rick fell victim to dizzy spells and a constant ringing in his ears. For years he suffered these symptoms while taking prescribed medication with little to no result. In some cases, the medication his doctors recommended actually worsened his symptoms.

It wasn’t until seeing a documentary highlighting the medicinal benefits of Cannabis that Rick inquired about Medical Marijuana. His doctor was quick to dismiss Cannabis as a treatment option, so Rick sourced some on his own. He immediately found that the use of Cannabis not only reduced his tinnitus, but lessened his other symptoms as well.

The Birth of RSO

In 2003, Rick was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. He began to do his own research in looking for a remedy and came across a study from the Journal of the National Cancer Institute. The study had proven that THC was found to kill cancer cells in mice.

With newfound optimism, Rick began creating his first version of RSO to treat his cancer topically. After just four days, the cancerous growths had all but disappeared, a feat Rick says, was only possible with the use of Cannabis.

After the stunning success of his own personalized treatment, Rick began growing and harvesting his own plants. He worked to perfect his own form of Cannabis Concentrate, and thus, RSO’s were born. It became his life goal to provide those in need with RSO free of charge.

To date, Rick has helped treat over 5000 patients with his RSO’s. A far cry from years spent having to listen to his own doctors refuse to acknowledge the benefits of Cannabis on treating cancer cells.

Simpson even faced persecution and arrest in Canada. On several occasions, his home has been raided, with thousands of plants being confiscated by the RCMP. Never the less, Rick continues to advocate for Medical Cannabis use and provide RSO to those in need. Though he no longer produces his own oils, to this very day, he continues his crusade to educate and share his experience. His website offers step by step instructions on how to make RSO’s in your own home.

Benefits of RSO’s

While there is no scientific study that proves its effectiveness, testimonials from users share a resounding appreciation for RSO’s. Heralded not only as a method of treating skin cancer topically, but also for its ability to relieve pain and symptoms of other types of cancers as well. It is also documented to relive symptoms of other conditions like epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.

Compared to other concentrates, RSO oil is easy to make and easy to use. It is odourless and discreet, and can be taken both topically and internally, making it far more diverse than other concentrates.

Can you smoke RSO’s?

Because they are an oil, it is possible to smoke RSO. However, it can be extremely flammable. As a result, We do not recommend smoking RSO as it could lead to fire or even explosion. Rick Simpson Oil, or Phoenix Tears, are best enjoyed either orally or topically.
