Coconut Cookies Indica Dominant Hybrid
This Coconut Cookies is a fantastic cross of two indica dominant hybrids; Animal Cookies and Mendo Breath. It is also the grandchild of the trendy Girl Scout Cookies. The beautiful dense buds of this hybrid (70% indica / 30% Sativa) are powdered with sugary purple and white crystals. These crystals help give Coconut Cookies their unique flavour. Toasted nuts and cookies give way to an earthy coconut exhale. The effects are decidedly indica dominant offering calm euphoria and full-body relaxation, the perfect “Cookie” for the end of a hard day.
Appearance
Coconut Cookies have dense, small to large-sized buds. These delicious buds are also quite sticky to the touch due to the fine coating of crystals. The buds have a minty green colour and are surrounded by tiny amber hairs. Dark green and pale purple leaves add a final accent to these gorgeous nuggets. Braking up these dense buds results in an explosion of crystals. We highly recommend using a grinder, so you don’t lose any of them. Coconut Cookies have a nice earthy, doughy sweet smell, with a delicious nut and coconut taste.
Effects
Cannabinoid Range: up to 23% THC
Though Coconut Cookies is a hybrid, don’t expect any energetic and invigorating Sativa dominant effects. Instead, this is an Indica-dominant powerhouse. The high comes on slow and smooth and provides lasting euphoria and happiness. It starts quickly with a soothing euphoria that will leave you feeling happy and uplifted. Then, your body slowly eases itself into a deep and relaxing state, often followed by a refreshing night’s sleep. The sedation is remarkable, making Coconut Cookies a preferred nighttime strain of many experienced cannabis users.
Because of the heavy relaxation and sedative effects, Coconut Cookies are excellent for combatting symptoms of insomnia and other sleep disorders. It is also excellent for muscle and joint pain as well as headaches and cramps. Coconut Cookies are also an ideal treatment for anxiety and depression and can even help to reduce symptoms of PTSD.

What is a Hybrid Strain?
A Hybrid strain refers to any combination of Sativa or Indica Strains. These strains offer more balanced Cannabis effects. In addition, they make it much easier for Cannabis users to customize their experience. As a result, they appeal to a much wider spectrum of Cannabis users. Combining the invigorating and energizing effects of a Sativa with the pain-relieving and muscle-relaxing effects of an Indica, these strains offer the best of both worlds.
The Science of it all
Although mother nature has done most of the work for us, modern-day strains are mostly a design project. The cross-breeding of any plant species involves the same basic processes, and Cannabis is no exception. For instance, to crossbreed plant strains, female plants must receive pollen from their male counterparts. Out in the wild, this happens naturally. However, it usually only occurs between the same strains of Cannabis.
In creating new and exciting Hybrids like Animal Cookies, growers carefully select their cross strains and breed them in a controlled environment. After that, they can dictate which traits from each strain will end up combined in the final product. The seeds from these plants will then become First Generation Hybrids. These new plants will then be bred over and over again to help increase these desired traits.
Choosing a Hybrid Strain
Indica dominant like Coconut Cookies, Sativa dominant or true Hybrid, unlimited possibilities and combinations to choose from. Above all, consider what you’re using Cannabis for.
If you need pain relief but aren’t looking for heavy sedation, Sativa dominant Hybrids might be right for you. If you’re looking to relax without the added psychoactive effects, try using an Indica dominant strain. It is important to remember that not all strains affect all users the same way.
When choosing a Hybrid strain, look for the balance that is right for your individual Cannabis needs. We always recommend that you start low and go slow. In other words, start with a small dosage and increase slowly as needed until you find the balance that is right for your needs.
Dick –
One of the stronger “cookies” variations I’ve had, nice light taste with a hint of coconut and tropical fruit, but the buzz, man o man that was some serious s&^t.
If you’re a fan of GSC and Animal Cookies like I am, I strongly recommend you try this Coconut Cookies asap!
