Blue Rhino Indica Dominant Hybrid
This Blue Rhino Hybrid offers an exceptional balance of both Sativa and indica effects. It has a very calm euphoric high that comes on quickly and is met with full-body relaxation. This indica dominant hybrid (55% indica / 45% Sativa) is the creation of the breeders at Positronics. By crossing two delicious and potent strains in Blueberry and White Rhino, they have created a new hybrid that tastes sweet and skunky. Unlike heavier Indicas, Blue Rhino’s balance of effects helps keep your mind active while relaxing the body. This makes it an excellent strain for combatting mood disorders, anxiety and depression, as well as combatting chronic pain and fatigue. Try it with our Blue Rhino Kief for an even more potent experience.
Blue Rhino has medium to large-sized, light and forest green nugs. These beautiful little buds are dusted in a nice light blanket of crystals and, as a result, are sticky to the touch. Blue Rhino buds are quite dense, and we recommend using a grinder to break them up. Upon breaking up the buds, aromas of berries and gas are released. Blue Rhino has gorgeous burnt orange and chestnut brown hairs surrounding each nugget.
Blue Rhino Effects
Cannabinoid Range: up to 20% THC
Though Blue Rhino is nearly a balanced hybrid, don’t expect any energetic and invigorating Sativa dominant effects. The high comes on slow and smooth and provides lasting euphoria and feelings of happiness. Your body slowly eases itself into a deep and relaxing state, while your mind stays alert. The sedation is remarkable, making Blue Rhino a preferred strain of many cannabis users with chronic pain or fatigue.

What is a Hybrid Strain?
A Hybrid strain refers to any combination of Sativa or Indica Strains. These strains offer more balanced Cannabis effects. In addition, they make it much easier for Cannabis users to customize their experience. As a result, they appeal to a much wider spectrum of Cannabis users. By combining the invigorating and energizing effects of a Sativa with the pain-relieving and muscle-relaxing effects of an Indica, these strains offer the best of both worlds.
The Science of it all
Although mother nature has done most of the work for us, modern-day strains are mostly a design project. The cross-breeding of any plant species involves the same basic processes, and Cannabis is no exception. For instance, to crossbreed plant strains, female plants must receive pollen from their male counterparts. Out in the wild, this happens naturally. However, it usually only occurs between the same strains of Cannabis.
In creating new and exciting Hybrids like Blue Rhino, growers carefully select their cross strains and breed them in a controlled environment. After that, they can dictate which traits from each strain will combine in the final product. The seeds from these plants will then become First Generation Hybrids. These new plants will then be bred over and over again to help increase these desired traits.
Choosing a Hybrid Strain
Indica dominant like Blue Rhino, Sativa dominant or true Hybrid, there are unlimited possibilities and combinations to choose from. Above all, consider what you’re using Cannabis for.
If you need pain relief but aren’t looking for heavy sedation, Sativa dominant Hybrids might be right for you. If you’re looking to relax without the added psychoactive effects, try using an Indica dominant strain. It is important to remember that not all strains affect all users the same way.
When choosing a Hybrid strain, look for the balance that is right for your individual Cannabis needs. We always recommend that you start low and go slow. In other words, start with a small dosage and increase slowly as needed until you find the balance that is right for your needs.
