Blue Dream Sativa Dominant Hybrid
This Blue Dream offers a very energetic and cerebral high. A slightly Sativa-dominant hybrid with an abundance of cannabinoids (60%/40% and upwards of 24% THC, 2%CBD and 1% CBN), Blue Dream is a cross of the ever-popular Blueberry and Haze strains. It is grown in living organic soil beds with other natural plants as opposed to traditional pots. As a result, this Blue Dream has a much earthier taste than other versions of the same plant.
From far away these medium-sized, popcorn-shaped buds loom just like any other. However, after closer inspection, a variety of shades of green, purple, orange and blue can be seen. The buds vary in colour just as the leaves do, and both are absolutely covered in fine orange hairs. Finally, a light dusting of crystals coats these buds for added flavour and potency. Just like its parent strain Blueberry, Blue Dream has a distinct aroma of sweet blueberries and sugar. The taste is a little more earthy, due to the growing methods, with notes of spice and pine.
Cannabinoid Range: up to 24% THC – 2% CBD – 1% CBN
Supremely heady and uplifting, Blue Dream combines the best characteristics from both Sativa and Indica strains. For instance, it often spurs an almost immediate onset of creativity and intense sociability. However, full-bodied relaxation will slowly build until you are left in a blissful state of relaxation. As a result of these balanced effects, Blue Dream is ideal for treating symptoms of appetite loss, chronic fatigue, chronic stress, depression, muscle tension including headaches and migraines and nausea.

The Science of it all
Although mother nature has done most of the work for us, modern-day strains are mostly a project of design. The cross-breeding of any plant species involves the same basic processes, and Cannabis is no exception. For instance, to crossbreed plant strains, female plants must receive pollen from their male counterparts. Out in the wild, this happens naturally, however, usually only between the same strains of Cannabis.
In creating new and exciting Hybrids, growers carefully select their cross strains and breed them in a controlled environment. By doing so, they can dictate which traits from each strain will end up combined in the final product. As a result, the seeds from these plants will then become First Generation Hybrids. These new plants will then be bred over and over again to help increase these desired traits.
Choosing a Hybrid Strain
Indica dominant, Sativa dominant like Blue Dream, or true Hybrid, there are unlimited possibilities and combinations to chose from. So how are you supposed to know which strain is right for you? Consider what you’re using Cannabis for.
If you need pain relief but aren’t looking for heavy sedation, Sativa dominant Hybrids might be right for you. If you’re looking to relax without the added psychoactive effects, try using an Indica dominant strain. It is important to remember that not all strains affect all users the same way.
When choosing a Hybrid strain, look for the balance that is right for your individual Cannabis needs. We always recommend that you start low and go slow. In other words, start with a small dosage and increase slowly as needed until you find the balance that is right for your needs.
